Student Government
Student Government Organization
The central representative organization of the students, the Lab Student Government (SGO), strives to represent the interests of the student body overall. It is primarily responsible for protecting the rights of the student members of the school community, ensuring that the voice and concerns of the students are heard by the administration, along with coordinating the formation of clubs, organizing school events, and creating constructive discussion to ultimately improve the entire school community. The government meets once a week in full session with representatives from each of the four grades at Lab. Here, the government discusses any pressing issues that may have arisen in the past week, with the meetings lead by the President and Vice President . The representatives also work on coordinating school wide events and meting monthly with a member of the school administration to voice any concerns the student body may have. The SGO also holds an Open Forum once a month for any student of the Lab School community to ask for assistance on behalf of a club or school as well as voice their opinion. If students have any questions, comments , or concerns, they are always welcome to contact one of the government leaders or grade reps.
